Social Gambling and Gaming Summit, 2013
There’s more than one social gambling conference taking place in London in November
Social and online gambling developers and players have gathered in London for the Social Gambling Conference held from November 6-7. Those who weren’t able to make it to the conference (or just haven’t had enough social gaming news) will be thrilled to hear that the Social Gambling and Gaming Summit will be held later this month.
Mastering the business and technology of the mobile social gaming industry is more essential now than ever, as the market is expected to grow to $2.5 billion (£1.55 billion) by 2015. Mobile apps are also expected to rake in $38 billion (£23.63 billion), and worldwide spending on virtual goods will hit $4.1 billion (£2.55 billion) by 2016.
This year, the Social Gambling Conference has well-known speakers such as Stuart Tilly, the director of the Social Gaming Association, a company established to identify and further the interests of the social gambling community. Simon Collins, founder of Gaming Realms and the company behind Castle Jackpot is also scheduled to speak at the conference. Collins’ extensive experience from over a decade of working within the industry helps shed some light on the trends and troubles experienced by social gambling developers.
If you can’t make it down to London just yet, the Social Gambling and Gaming Summit will be held in etc Venues in St. Paul’s, London on November 21st. Now on its fourth year, the Summit brings together other industry experts and leaders in free-to-play mobile games and social casino games. The upcoming summit will feature Mark Robinson, co-founder and COO of GamesAnalytics, and Sue Rossiter of the Remote Gambling Association.
